Solution: During InstallShield's Installation prompts, please select
CUSTOM which copies in the necessary additionals, i.e. OCR training files. You
can re-install or extract the necessary ocr files manually from your self-extracted
or CDROM bundle.
Problem:
I try to run cbmsw.exe or smart.exe and get an error:
The instruction at "0x004123a" referenced memory at "0x000000". The memory could
not be "read".
Note: numbers above may differ.
Solution: Your license.stw file contains either unwanted carriage returns or
extraneous control characters. Please edit license.stw to determine via the end key
that your features are all 1 line long and that there aren't any extra blank lines.
Problem:
A dialog box comes up that says:
CAPBAK Error: The environment variable SR is not set. OCR will not work unless SR is set.
Solution: Please check your autoexec.bat and environment variable settings to verify
that there is a valid path and syntax structure. The SR environment should point to your
TestWorks installation directory, excluding the bin portion.
Problem:
I get the error message:
Abnormal application termination, signal number=11.
Solution: This usually results when an application is not terminated via the provided
exit menu button or by issuing "ctrl-C". Use of the Motif Window manager's close feature is
not supported due to its unclean exiting.
Problem:
I am not able to get CAPBAK/X to record due to error:
can't find DEC-XTRAP
Solution: Please install onto local clients the necessary DEC-XTRAP extension which,
if available, is in $SR/lib/xtrap off the TestWorks regression bundle. Use "xdpyinfo | more" to
verify number of extensions found.
Note: for some X-terminal clients, you will need to seek vendor for this "if available"
feature DEC-XTRAP.
Problem: I cannot get any of the install.* scripts to execute.
Solution: Please check that you are running from within a C-shell and
that the current "." path is set or recognized.
